On completion of the Overcoming Anxiety, Panic, Fear & Worry Recovery Program,

the following outcomes are expected…

A thorough understanding of what anxiety, panic, fear and worry is, how it developed and what has been maintaining it.

Knowledge and practical application of cognitive skills to manage and reduce fear, worry and overanalysing, long term.

Ability to think for yourself, rather than believe what you hear

Reduction/elimination of physical symptoms of the anxiety response, including racing heart, sweating, blushing, trembling, shaking, nausea, dizzy, pins and needles, dry mouth, etc, and panic attacks.

Greater personal understanding of how to manage all emotions, including fear, depression and anger. and modification of obvious, and subtle avoidant behaviours.

Reduction/elimination of obvious and subtle avoidant behaviours resulting in more experiences in life through attendance, involvement and participation in situations.

Appreciation of sensitivity and individuality.

Greater sense of self worth and esteem leading to increased confidence and contentment within self and personal experience of life.

Improved communication skills, assertion skills, and more satisfying relationships with others in life.

Ability to focus on the task at hand, rather than fear based stimulus.

Ability to relax the body, and calm the mind.

Knowledge and practical application of a balanced lifestyle in all areas of life, to enhance both physical and emotional health.

Understanding of nutritional and physical exercise factors in overall recovery.

The development of a new healthy belief framework and knowledge of how to implement it into life in a practical way.

Reasonable and realistic goals and time frames with graduated manageable steps to overcome fears.

Reduction/elimination of analysing, personalising, internalising and replaying thoughts and scenarios from the past, present and future.

Renewed enthusiasm, motivation, optimism, and energy in life.

More free time in the mind allowing the pursuit and enjoyment of activities of interest.

Ability to embrace and implement the concepts of choice, consequence and responsibility into life.
